We welcome Mme Brunet to our class for the next 4 weeks.
Hello everyone!
My name is Keara, and I am a Teacher Candidate in Mme Buren’s class for the next four weeks. I graduated from Western University last year with a double major in Psychology and Linguistics, and this year am in my first year of Teachers College.
A little about me is that I am from Thunder Bay and moved to London 5 years ago to start my post-secondary education. I am the oldest of my siblings and have two brothers in their twenties and a nine-year-old sister. In my free time I enjoy hiking, camping, travelling, playing music, and all sports!
I am looking forward to my time in Mme Buren's grade 6 class. Please don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions!!

A Project for Christmas
We will be doing something very special to spread the Christmas cheer this season. Kindness has been a big theme in our class as we are often talking about being kind to one another both inside and outside the classroom. In Religion, we have been discussing different ways that we can spread Kindness within our community during the holiday seasons.
As a class we be doing a backwards Advent Calendar to help the homeless population within our community. A backwards calendar means that instead of opening something each day we will be putting in items needed in our collection box. At the end of our count down we will deliver all the collected items to the homeless shelters in need. We will assign a day to each child so that they each have their special turn to put an item(s) in. This of course is not mandatory but any participation will be greatly appreciated.
If for any reason, you are unable to donate an item/items please let me know and I will gladly provide something for your child to contribute.
Attached is a list of ideas of items that can be donated. The only thing that is required is that the donations must be new and unwrapped. The donations do not have to be extravagant they can be as simple as, a toothbrush or pair of mittens. Every little bit helps! This is a great opportunity for kids to help others! We thank you in advance for your support!
